I don't have a car, can I walk?

Can I catch a bus?
Check out http://www.rabaride.com for information on the Redding bus system. All of our houses are within a 1/4 mile of a city bus stop.
How can I pay for my accommodation?
At this point we only accept payment through rentpost. You can pay with credit card or with a US checking account. Credit card payments incur a 2.99% transaction fee and US checking accounts incur a $1 per transaction fee. Under certain circumstances we do accept direct deposit or bank check. However, there is a $10 processing fee for using a payment method other than rentpost. You will also be responsible for any bank fees incurred.
What do I need to bring?
Most things are furnished including basic kitchen equipment, beds, bedding, and furniture. However, you will need to bring a set of sheets as well as your own towels. Please look at the complete inventory list in the files section to see what is provided.
Who is responsible for maintenance of the house?
The landlord is responsible to make sure you have a habitable home. However, this is YOUR home. You are responsible for consumable things like light bulbs, toilet paper, air filters, water filters and general upkeep of the property. We are not your parents and do expect you to take ownership of your home. Any maintenance issue (like a clogged toilet) that arises do to tenants fault, YOU are responsible to fix.
What is the check-in procedure for BSSM? There is a lockbox at each house. You will be provided a code to access the house key inside the lockbox. Once inside, there will be a set of keys as well as a house manual. Please make sure to return the lockbox key and use the house key provided for you.
Is my deposit refundable?
Security deposits are fully refundable when your lease term is up. This will be covered in depth in the lease agreement. International security deposits will incur and additional $25 processing and wire transfer fee.

How much interaction will I have with the Landlords?
We love to welcome our students to Redding by facilitating a meet and greet at each house. This gives us the opportunity to get to know our tenants in person. The date is TBA but will be after everyone has arrived in Redding.
